The Hungry Bin is the modern wonder of worm farms!
A continuous flow system, the Hungry Bin is far more efficient than worm farms that use stacked trays. The unique shape of the bin creates a large surface area, allowing the worms to easily access the food scraps at the top – they’re surface feeders after all – allowing them to process more waste, more quickly. The tapered sides encourages the worms to stay on the surface, while compressing their castings below.
You can select a number of options:
- Unit Only, no Worms
- Unit + 500g (approx. 2000 Worms)
- Unit + 1kg (approx. 4000 Worms)
- Unit + 1kg Worm Voucher (approx. 4000 worms) if it is a gift or you'd like to have the worms shipped at a later date.

Once the worms have done their work, the hungry bin is designed to allow the simple and easy harvest of both finished castings and liquid fertiliser. There is no heavy or messy lifting involved when it comes to removing the worm castings. The floor of the bin can easily be detached, allowing approximately 4 litres of castings to break away at the bottom. It's all a nice clean process, and the finished casting are largely free of worms on managing the bin correctly.
The lid is at a perfect height for operation similar to your standard council waste bin. Tight fitting, its design prevents pests from easily entering, while maintaining the core element for a worm environment of ventilation. It even has wheels!!! Moving the bin around your location is light work.
